project 2a
Orthographic projection

Eames House
From this project, not only did I learn how to demonstrate drafting skills appropriately using technical pens based on line weights, line types and line qualities, I've also learnt how to arrange the different components so as to make my work look presentable on an A1 tracing paper, how to communicate clarity and accuracy of drawn information using appropriate technique and scale.
project 2b
Axonometric projection

Eames House
Besides practising my skill on using the technical pens, most of all, I’ve learnt how to look up for information on my own so as to gain more understanding about orthographic projections and axonometric drawings in architectural documentation as well as regarding the building that I was tasked to work on. After gaining an understanding about what axonometric projections are, how to generate them and apply them in design process and presentation in three-dimension, I’ve come to develop a liking for it as the fact that there are no limit to how one can ‘explode’ the different parts of the building to present it appeals to me greatly.
project 2c
Perspective drawing

Eames House
From project 1a where on-site sketching was done free-hand with visualisation of its proportion and scale to this project 2c where one-point perspective and two-points perspective drawings are actually generated from floorplans with technicality, I realised that I’ve really learnt alot and progressed in my design communication skill, as compared to when I first entered into the course with hardly any knowledge on proper sketching and hatching. Also, after three rounds of Eames house drawings represented in different architectural documentation, I’ve gained a better understanding about the details of the Eames House and the significance of the building as a site study. I’ve became more familiar and deft with the usage of tecnical pens as well.
